| The Horten Ho 229 V3, twin-engine, jet fighter is now available to model aviation enthusiasts world-wide through this set of builder's plans. The plan set consist of two, 36" wide rolled sheet and a Builder's Notes booklet that detail a 72" wingspan, twin electric ducted fan (EDF) Ho 229 V3
that can be built as a hand launched version or built with fixed or retractable landing gear - builder's choice. Suggested EDFs are WeMoTec Mini Fan 480 or equivalent utilizing brushless motors. The plans detail the entire aircraft, not just one side of the wing and details both sets of ribs so you will not have to copy another set of ribs. The Builder's Notes includes pictures illustrating building techniques and specific concepts. ThisHo 229 V3 is designed to have a wide flight envelope -- it has the potential to fly fast and yet slows down for slow and easy trainer-like landings. These plans are recommended for builders who have a few kits under their belt. The Builder's Notes contain information that will be helpful to the intermediate builder who has never built a flying wing. The laser coordinates for the ribs can be purchased. You can send the disk to a laser kit cutter and they will be able to to cut a complete set of ribs for you. |
